Designer Estevão Toledo in the midst of the collection he designed for Mavie, presented at Equipotel

At Equipotel 2026, Mavie presented a collection signed by the designer Estevão Toledo — pieces that are born from an encounter: the aluminium and wood, Lightness and warmth. He designs, and Mavie produces. The result is a line of original design that can already be seen at Casa Toledo, in São Paulo.

The biggest waste in a factory may not be in production. More likely it is in products that could exist but were never developed.Estevão Toledo

A partnership of design and development

The above phrase accompanied the pieces on Equipotel — and sums up the philosophy behind the partnership. Estevão Toledo designs; Mavie produces. It is in this meeting between the designer's drawing and the factory's own production that products are born that, otherwise, might never have come to life.

The concept: aluminum meets wood

The signature of the collection is the combination of aluminium and wood — the lightness and strength of metal under heat and the texture of wood. This duality is the leitmotif of the pieces: it appears in a literal way in the Amber Chair, which supports wooden slats on a metal structure, and is also found in a completely aluminum version in Sète.

The pieces of the collection

  • Amber — chair, armchair, sun lounger and coffee table: wood on metal, straight and warm lines.
  • Sète e Sète with arm — anodized aluminum, lightweight and graphic.
  • Arki — lamps and tables (center, side and dining), with a wooden or sheet metal top.
  • Forms (Claire and Lum) — pieces that play with geometry and light to create walls and environments.

From design to production

What makes all of this possible is the Mavie's own productionEstevão's design becomes a prototype and then a product in our factory — with material control and finishing from start to finish. This is his phrase in practice: products that no longer just remain an idea but become real.

It is also a hands-on job: in the locksmith shop, professionals like the Mr. João They shape the aluminum piece piece by piece — the link between the design of Estevão and the final object.
